The debut album Supersnazz of American Garage Rock band The Flamin' Groovies was released in 1969, containing both re-creations of '50s Rock 'n Roll songs and more melodic tracks. It made the group one of the forerunners of the Power Pop movement of the '70s.

This is Built To Spill's Pop album: every song is direct and clean, without the long, cerebral jamming that characterized their earlier albums. The album spawned two EPs: "Carry The Zero" and "Center Of The Universe".

Ancient Melodies of the Future is the fifth full-length album released by indie rock band Built to Spill. The album was recorded at Bear Creek in Woodinville, Washington. With Ancient Melodies of the Future, Built to Spill expanded on the big sound that they crafted with Keep It Like a Secret.
